SOCCER NOTES

Noticed in the standing of the clubs in the National Soccer League, the Steel Champions still have their first contest to play in this circuit. The Steel Workers were scheduled to meet Disston in the first National League game but the latter team failed to muster enough players together to put a team on the field. Injuries were assigned as the reason, but some prophets are inclined to think that the Disstons were willing to forfeit the National League game to prepare for the cup game with Bethlehem at Tacony on Saturday.

Robins Dry Dock F. C. is still leading the league without a defeat. Six games were won in which twenty-six points were registered to ten against them. The standing of the league:
