The Bethlehem Steel Soccer Club, league champions, moved into a commanding position in the American Soccer League race as a result of the weekend games and is now established in second place, trailing New Bedford, the league leader. The margin of difference between New Bedford and Bethlehem, as the runner-up, is a single game with the New Englanders having played one game more than Bethlehem.

Bethlehem’s climb to second place came as a result of its dual victory over the weekend, defeating the New York Giants in Bethlehem on Saturday and on Sunday journeyed to Fall River where the Marksmen were defeated by the score of 1 goal to none.

While Bethlehem was scoring two wins, Boston […] winning the Saturday game from Providence, was […] by finishing second best to the New York Giants on Sunday, losing by the score of 4 to 1. That defeat sent Boston down the line into third place. Following is the standing of the clubs:
