Newark-Bethlehem, postponed

Idle on Sunday following the brilliant victory of Bethlehem over Fall River here on Saturday, enabled New Bedford to pile an additional two points over the Steelmen in the American Soccer League race. New Bedford came through with a victory in each of its two weekend games and as a result boosted its lead over Bethlehem from two to four points. However, the New Englanders have now played two more games than Bethlehem.

Contending that the grounds were unplayable in spite of Bethlehem's willingness to go through with the game at Newark on Sunday afternoon, Newark won out and the contest was called off. It was the only league contest that was not played. Following is the league standing.
