Soccer Notes

Local fans will be given another splendid contest on Saturday, Dec. 16, when the crack Brooklyn Celtic club, Brooklyn, N. Y., will clash with the steelworkers in the second round of the National Cup series.

Reports from Philadelphia state that the Disston team is undergoing special training this week in preparation for the coming battle with the local next Saturday.

Bethlehem was very fortunate in being drawn at home with Disston and Brooklyn Celtic in both the National and American cup competition.

Officials for next Saturday's game will be appointed by the American Football Association at a special meeting to be held at the Continental Hotel, Newark, N. J., this evening.

The Disston management has signed up a dashing center forward named Lynch, formerly of Canada and Detroit. He will play against Bethlehem next Saturday.

The game must be played to a finish and in the event of a tie at the end of the regular playing periods extra time will have to be played.

The sawmakers have not lost a game this season and are full of confidence that they can lower the colors of the local champions.
