STEEL RESERVES TO GET INTO SOCCER TILT
Newark Here Tomorrow -- To Keep Regulars For Brooklyn Game Sunday
GOALIE BROWN IS TO PLAY

With the lineup partly determined for the Bethlehem Steel Soccer Club in the league game against Newark here on Saturday afternoon, patrons will have an opportunity of seeing a raft of reserves in action. This change in the lineup is made necessary in conserving some of the strength of the team for the invasion to Brooklyn on Sunday afternoon.

Although many of the players who wear the colors of the Bethlehem against the Jerseymen on Saturday are listed as reserves, they have proven quite capable in that respect and the management has every confidence that the team will come through to victory. In announcing the tentative lineup includes only a few of the regulars it was hinted the probable starting team is subject to change

The worries of the management were considerably eased when it became definitely known that Cecil Brown, brilliant goalie, has arranged his affairs at his home in Canada and will be with the team over the weekend. His inclusion in the lineup for the two games will materially strengthen the defense department of the team.

"Whitey" McDonald will go back to his position at right halfback as the only regular on this line. W. Reid, who has been playing a great game, will be in Carnihan's position at center half while Robertson, a veteran of the tam and one of the general utility mean, will start in place of McGregor. Two new backs will be introduced in McLaughlin, a player signed about a month ago, and H. Reid, who came to Bethlehem after the Philadelphia club disbanded.

The forward line, too, will witness some drastic changes. McConnell, who prior to his injury in a New England game in early season, played center forward, will be back in that position. McConnell up to the time he was injured, was the club's leading scorer. Another newcomer to the club, who will play his inaugural game with Bethlehem, is Ballantyne, a former star forward with the Boston club. Gillespie, Rollo and Goldie will complete the forward line.

With the exception of Brown, the same team lined up against New Bedford, the league leader, in an exhibition game on the latter's field on Thanksgiving Day and played the New Englanders to a four goal draw. Following are the probable lineups:

Bethlehem Steel -- Newark F. C.
Brown -- G -- Murdock
McLaughlin -- RFB -- Grosz
H. Reid -- LFB -- Cairns
McDonald -- RHB -- Daley
W. Reid -- CHB -- Thompson
Robertson -- LHB -- Nicoll
Gillespie -- OR -- Hogg
Rollo -- IR -- Wardrop
McConnell -- CF -- Strong
Ballantyne -- IL -- Green
Goldie -- OL -- Purdegrove
