FALL RIVER HEADS LEAGUE
New England Team Now Two Points Ahead of Boston and FIVE AHEAD OF LOCALS

AMERICAN SOCCER LEAGUE RESULTS.
Saturday Games

Bethlehem 3, J & P Coats 0.
Boston 2, Brooklyn 0.
New Bedford 5, Fleisher Yarn 1.
Fall River 5, Philadelphia 0

Sunday Games
Fall River 2, Boston 1.
Brooklyn 3, New York 0
Newark 5, Phillies 0.
J & P Coats 2, Indiana Flooring 1.
Providence 1, Fleisher Yarn 1.

By winning two games over the weekend Fall River, National champions, took the lead in the America Soccer League race with a total of 31 points. Boston F. C. defeated by the champions in the Sunday game, is training in second place, two points less than the league leaders, while Bethlehem is in third position with five points less than Fall River.

While the margin in points between Bethlehem Steel and Fall River is five points it is not really as big as the numerals indicate. This is due to the fact that Fall River had played two more games than Bethlehem Steel, where, if the latter are successful in turning in victories in an equal total number of games, the lead of the champions would be reduced to one point.

Bethlehem Steel gets its first double-header of several weeks over the coming weekend, meeting Indiana Flooring on the Steel Field on Saturday afternoon, and taking on the New York Giants, in New York, the following day.

Archie Stark continues to lead the league in individual scoring and boosted his total for twenty games to thirty goals with the two counted against J & P Coats on Saturday afternoon. Of this number only one was registered on a penalty, and that was in the Coats game. Stark's average to date is one and one-half goals per game, a record never before equaled in league soccer.
