That Soccer Tilt On The Steel Field
Soccer fans are in store for another real treat tomorrow afternoon when the Steel Workers meet J & P Coats of Pawtucket, R. I. in an American League game. With the personnel of the visiting club well known to local fans and including many former popular local favorites, great interest is manifest in the outcome. With Coats making its first appearance this season against Bethlehem tomorrow afternoon, the locals have had a crack against every member of the American league. But once have the Steel Workers tasted the sting of defeat and the distinction of administering the setback goes to the New York F. C., a team that will be a visitor in Bethlehem, Christmas Day afternoon. However, since that defeat the Bethlehems have assumed a stride that turned in consecutive victories in at least ten of their last starts. These games not only included league affairs but likewise the locals are well advanced in both the National and American Cup competitions.
