Held in Tow
"Eisenhoffer is Star as Soccer Teams Battle," a glaring headline gracing the sports page of the metropolitan dailies this morning, but not applying to the game dropped by his Wanderer mates here on Saturday afternoon. Eisenhoffer may have scintillated in defeating Providence but the big time star was well held in tow by the stalwart Bethlehem defense. He fit in nicely on the forward berth and did some clever ball manipulating and passing but never was he a great threat in the entire 90 minutes of play. The appearance here of the Jewish sensation was his first game sanctioned by the U. S. F. A. in 15 weeks and it may have been that in resuming the campaigning he was unable to hit the peak of his best form.
