Rest Will Probably Do Good
While local soccer fans will regret that no game will be played here on New Year's Day there no doubt will agree that a day of idleness will by no means do the team any harm. In the last several weeks the Bethlehems have traveled at a terrific clip, crashing through a schedule of league games and cup competitions without defeats. Tomorrow afternoon the team has a hard game in New York and it is doubtful if the players would be in condition for the stiff grind on Tuesday and then the grueling session anticipated when the club hits the road and makes its first New England invasion on the weekend with a game against Coats at Pawtucket, R. I., on Saturday afternoon and Fall River, on Sunday. Possibly the next home appearance of the Bethlehems will be January 11.
