Soccer
The year witnessed the disintegration of the famous Bethlehem Steel F. C. Lack of enthusiasm for the game among local fans when it was gaining favor throughout the country, even in college ranks, was one oft he main contributing causes. For the first time in a number of years the team lost all championship races and finally met their worst defeat at the hands of the Scot All-Stars, 8 to 0. This game practically spelled the "finis" of big league soccer for Bethlehem and since the team has been transferred to Philadelphia, playing under the title of the "Philadelphia F. C." with varying success.

MARCH
26 -- Bethlehem F. C. have easy time defeating stars of district league, 8 to 0.
APRIL
3 -- At Bayonne, N. J., Bethlehem F. C. defeated Babcock & Wilcox by 5 to 2.
9 -- In Bethlehem, Tebo Yacht F. C. of Brooklyn and Bethlehem F. C. play scoreless tie.
16 -- In Bethlehem, Erie F. C. forfeits soccer to Bethlehem F. C.
JULY
12 -- Bethlehem F. C. humbled by Scot All-Stars, 8 to 1.
SEPTEMBER
10 (?) -- Announcement made that city will have another high class soccer team with Billy Sheridan coach.
11 -- Local soccer team under name of Philadelphia F. C. have good start, beating Disston 5 to 0.
NOVEMBER
5 -- Bethlehem Steel F. C. eliminated from National Cup competition by the Fleisher eleven, 4-1.
