William D. Carnihan, 63, formerly of 828 Washington Ave., died this morning in Allentown. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Mary Anne McEwen Carnihan.

For many years prior to 1959 he was a clerk in the merchandise, sales and billing department of the Bethlehem Steel Co.

Born in Hamilton, Scotland, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Carnihan.

Surviving are a son, Thomas B. M., Bethlehem; a daughter, Mrs. Isabella Rappaport, Los Angeles, Calif. and six grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Wallace M. Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St. The Rev. Dr. A. Augustus Welsh will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
