STEEL SOCCER TEAM HAS NO GAME BOOKED
League Officials Bobble the Situation After Two Replay Tilts Are Arranged.
N. Y. - N. J. DISTRICT SLIGHTED

The inactivity of the schedule committee of the American Soccer League in relieving the condition brought about by the two replay cup games, to take place this weekend, leaves Bethlehem Steel, originally booked to meet Brooklyn on the Steel Field on Saturday afternoon, without a game.

Brooklyn and Indiana Flooring drew in their first round National Challenge Cup game played last Saturday. Cup games are given preference in the schedules and as a result the two teams will meet again on Sunday afternoon. Philadelphia has a cup replay with Trenton.

Local District Slighted

In hopes that a game might be arranged for Bethlehem Steel over the weekend, the Steelmen had a representative in New York early this week, without any success. Looseness in the management of the league, especially insofar as the scheduling of games is concerned, is evident by the fact that while all of the clubs in the New England district will be busy, the New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia district has been entirely slighted. Of the league games scheduled for this weekend, Fall River has two, Boson has Two, New Bedford, Providence and Shawsheen each one.

There is a possibility that Bethlehem may be successful in arranging an exhibition game but if so it will not be played on the Steel Field. Negotiations are at present pending for a game with Wolfenden Shore, in Philadelphia, on Sunday afternoon.

The draw for the second round in the National Challenge Cup will take place on February 3.
