Soccer Game Called Off
Soccer fans no doubt were disappointed to know that the scheduled game between the Bethlehem F. C., and Philadelphia F. C., this afternoon on the Steel Field was called off. Despite the efforts to clear the playing pitch of snow and ice and the assurance given by the management that this could be accomplished, the field was in such a miserable condition last night, exposing players to all sorts of hazards if the game went through, and it was decided best to cancel the engagement. Fans were all keyed up to greet Tom Maxwell, the former Third Lanark star forward, who was to make his debut with the local clan today.
