FALL RIVER APPEARS TO HAVE SOCCER FLAG
New England Clan More Firmly Entrenched Than Ever at the Top of League
ONLY ONE IN 29 STARTS LOST

SATURDAY GAMES
Bethlehem Steel 1; Fall River 1
Boston F. C. [...]; Philadelphia 1

SUNDAY GAMES
Fall River 3; Brooklyn 2
Newark vs. Philadelphia; postponed
Boston 3; Indiana Flooring 1
Providence 5; New Bedford 1

Although the American Soccer League season has some distance to go before closing up shop, Fall River is strongly entrenched in the top position and it looks like another championship for the New England clan. The champions are leading Boston, the nearest rival, by eight points, and at that have played three games less than the Hubmen. New Bedford, Providence and Bethlehem are the other contenders, but only with outside chances.

The dizzy pace established by Fall River at the start of the season was carried up to the present time and the team seems in no immanent danger of losing its stride. The champions played twenty-nine games, and of this number dropped but one. However, the team was forced to share the honors in no less than seven games. The standings of the clubs, including games played over the last weekend, follows:
