Paterson in Eastern Finals
New York F. C. was dumped out of the National Challenge Trophy when defeated by the Paterson F. C. in the Eastern semi-final at Harrison, N. J., Sunday afternoon. The Jersey clan won by a score of 4 goals to 1 before an enthusiastic crowd of eight thousand spectators. The game was a replay, the teams having met the week previous when the game ended in a scoreless tie. There was no questions as to the superiority of the Jerseyites in yesterday's contest for the victory was decisive. Paterson will now be one of the principals in the Eastern final, the winner of which will meet the Scullins, of St. Louis, in the final for the trophy.
