A Swing Along Athletic Row

Draw One and Lose One
The defeat of the Bethlehem Steel F. C. at the hands of Providence on Sunday afternoon brought no sting of disappointment, for few if any local fans believed that the Steel Workers would take any chances with the grand final of the National Challenge Cup competition to be played at Brooklyn next Sunday afternoon. With a rearranged lineup in which Archie Stark, premier goal scorer of the league, was among the missing, Whitey McDonald did duty at a fullback berth instead of halfback. With other drastic changes in the lineup, Bethlehem came close at that in annexing the two league points. Although no casualties occurred, the management of the Steel team was wise in fielding a club comprising only a few of the regulars. The draw game was with Boston on Saturday.
