Popular Soccer Star Breaks Leg
The many friends of Connie Lynch, soccer star, will regret to learn that the brilliant center forward fractured his leg in one of the final games of the season. The accident occurred in an American League game. Lynch is w ell known in Bethlehem, e3xpecially to some of the old members of the Bethlehem F. C., who vividly recall the year when rated as far superior, the Disston eleven, of Philadelphia, appeared to be a "Jinx" and prevented the Bethlehem clan from coming through the season with a clean slate. Lynch was one of the leading players in that position in the country and had the honor o9f playing center forward when Disston trimmed the great Bethlehem machine in a league match at Tacony.
