Newark Again in Wrong
When the moguls of the American Soccer League gather in their next session, the Newark management will no doubt be put on the griddle to explain certain happenings in Newark on Sunday afternoon. Newark refused to give New Bedford a guarantee for additional expenses incurred as the result of scheduling a game to start at 5 o'clock and as a result New Bedford refused to play. It was the first incident of the kind in the history of the league which incidentally did not sanction the late start proposed by Newark. It will not be the first time that Newark has been on the pan and the action of the league will be awaited with interest by the club owners.
