STEEL SOCCER TEAM WILL PLAY IN NEW YORK OVER WEEKEND

The Bethlehem Steel soccer team will entertain away from home over the weekend, contributing in one half of the double bill to be played at New York Oval. The Bethlehem opponents will be the Newark F. C. In the other half of the double bill the New York F. C. will oppose the National Giants, of the same city.

The Steel Workers have four more scheduled games to play before the close of the American Soccer League season and until these are completed it is more than likely that the season will carry on until the first week of June. The games still to be played are one each with Fall River, New York F. C. and the Philadelphia F. C., the latter the only one to be played at home.

If the present plans materialize, it is probable that the Steel Workers will meet Philadelphia F. C. here on Decoration Day; Fall River on June 1 and Philadelphia on May 30. The double header in New York on Sunday are the only league games scheduled for this weekend.

Changes in the standings of the clubs and likewise for the individual scoring honors in the league will hardly be altered in the remaining games with the possible exception that Bethlehem may nose out the New York F. C. for second place honors. Fall River with its victory over Bethlehem here last Saturday and draw game with New York on Sunday, completely clinched the bunting for the National champions in the American League race. Following is the standing of the league and the individual scoring records:
