Eastern League Announces Portuguese Club's Election to Membership

James Armstrong, secretary of the Eastern Soccer League, announced last night that the Newark Portuguese Soccer Club, which made such a good showing in the U. S. F. A. cup competition last year, had joined the Eastern Soccer League, which acted favorably on the application of the Jerseymen at a special meeting of the league held at the Cornish Arms Hotel yesterday.
