A Swing Along Athletic Row

Soccer First to Burst Into the Picture
Usually the soccer season in Bethlehem is delayed until late in the football season and more often games are switched to avoid a conflict with the football schedules until after the latter games are played. This will not be the case this year for soccer is getting away to an earlier start than ever before and particularly this is true in the American Soccer League. The Bethlehem Steel team had its appetizer in an exhibition game at Boston last Saturday. The next start will be on the home field a week from Saturday when the outcome will count materially in the league race for this game with the Philadelphia F. C. as the opponents will officially mark the opening of the American League season.
