A Swing Along Athletic Row

Three Points
Three points just about the margin, if remembered correctly, which separated the Bethlehem Steel F. C. from the American Soccer League champions last season, were dropped by the Steel Workers over the weekend. Most bitter was the defeat at the hands of the New York Giants on Saturday on the home field. The Giants trailing a one goal lead accomplished unexpected by hopping through to snatch the victory before the Steel Workers as well as the spectators could hardly realize what it was all about. Bethlehem somewhat consoled that setback with a one goal draw on the Giants field on Sunday afternoon. By their victory over Bethlehem and then the draw the Giants are now the only undefeated team in the American Soccer League. Their accomplishments thus far have been the victory and draw against Bethlehem together with draw games against Providence, new Bedford and Brooklyn Wanderers. The New Yorkers may be the team to kick up quite a fuss in the ranks of the league contenders before the end of the season. It is a club with talent and imbued with plenty of fight.
