A Swing Along Athletic Row

Anent Our Steel Workers
Having withstood the acid test of playing two hard games away from home and returning with the bacon in each of them, it looks as though the Bethlehem Steel F. C. is set for a grand crash for the American Soccer League pennant. The Steel Workers are up at the top fighting to retain first position which is shared with Fall River, and having the advantage of playing an at home game on Saturday. However, Fall River is virtually the league leader, having played one game less than the Steel Workers. Saturday's schedule will just about balance up in the number of games played and if Fall River grabs both ends of their argument and Bethlehem does likewise in its one game here against Providence, the league champions will again have the edge by two points. In meeting Providence Bethlehem has about the toughest task of the contending clubs. Providence comes here with the opportunity of going into second place but there must be a victory to realize it. On the other hand, Bethlehem can take a strangle hold on second place with a victory.
