A Swing Along Athletic Row

The Jinx Persists
The jinx persists in camping on the trail of the Bethlehem Steel Soccer Club when Boston is involved. This was again apparent on Saturday afternoon when the finest football exhibition witnessed in Bethlehem in a long time, the Hubmen were able to come along from behind and equalize the score in the closing minutes of play. Bethlehem’s one-goal lead looked as big as a mountain until Blair got his head to a perfect pass whipped across the goal mouth and the ball was directed into the net. In the last five games against Boston, four of which, of course, were played last season, the Steelmen have still to taste the fruits of victory. Twice last year Boston on the home ground defeated the Steelmen and twice in Bethlehem held the latter to a draw. The draw game on Saturday makes it three ties and two defeats for Bethlehem in five starts.
