A Swing Along Athletic Row

Steel Very Much in the Running
While the percentage table has Bethlehem Steel riding in fourth place in the American Soccer league standing, the percentage of the Steel Workers is better than the points indicate. Fall River, held to a brace of draws games over the weekend and forced to share the points, is deadlocked with Providence for first place. Boston is trailing third with 12 points and Bethlehem Steel fourth with 11 points. Each of the three teams leading Bethlehem has played a total of ten games. Bethlehem, on the other hand, has played two games less than either of the league leaders. Four points are pending the outcome of these games and victories for the Steel Workers would have them tied with Providence and Fall River for the loop lead.
