A Swing Along Athletic Row

Meeting The Conqueror
"Bethlehem was at least five goals better than New Bedford" is the description of a loyal local enthusiasts who happened to see New Bedford defeat the Steel Workers on the former's field two weeks ago by the score of 1 to 0. Be that as it may the fact remains that New Bedford was the only club to score a tally in that game, a goal counted on a penalty, and as a result the Steel Workers lost an excellent opportunity of annexing two points. Reference is made to this simply because New Bedford comes to Bethlehem for a league game on Saturday afternoon and the opportunity will be present to local fans to see whether or not the Steel Workers are really five goals better than the invading New Englanders. The sting of that defeat was about the most bitter pill tasted by Bethlehem in a good many seasons and the boys seem ripping mad in their determination to avenge it plenty.
