NO SOCCER GAMES PLAYED ON SUNDAY
Snow and Ice Render Fields Unfit – Boston Defeats Springfield
COATS TIES FALL RIVER

Christmas Day Games
Bethlehem 3; Philadelphia 1.
Newark 0; Indiana 0.
Giants 5; Brooklyn 4.
Boston 6; Springfield 1.
Coats 0; Fall River 0.

Sunday Games
All games postponed, wet grounds.

With Boston winning from Springfield in soccer on Saturday, Bethlehem did not increase its lead but the champions remain secure in first place of the club standing in the American Soccer League by their 3 to 1 victory over Philadelphia.

Rain and snow put the field in poor condition for the Sunday game and the three league tilts carded for Sunday were postponed. Boston continues as runner-up to Bethlehem for the league lead with Fall River and New Bedford tied for third position. The latter club will be the Bethlehem opponent in this city on New Year’s Day afternoon.

Fall River figures in another surprise on Christmas Day when held to a scoreless draw by Coats, second last club in the league standing. The Marksmen, three times league champions, seem to be pretty well shattered for the last three games have collected but one league point and that in sharing with Coats. Both Philadelphia and Brooklyn defeated the Marksmen the weekend previous. The standing of the teams, including the games played to date, follows:
