Great Clash Expected When Steel Team Meets New Englanders Weekend

What promises to be the best soccer game played in Bethlehem this season will be held Saturday afternoon of this week in an American Soccer League contest.

It will be a real championship tilt since Fall River now leads the circuit and Bethlehem is a close second only one point behind.

These two leading contenders for the American League title met in a bitter struggle at Fall River on December 10 and fought to a scoreless draw.

Included among the roster of Fall River players are a number of ex-Bethlehem Steel artists, including Brittan, Pepper, Miller, Lorimer, Collier and Whalen. Millar still holds the goal scoring record for this country, made by him while a member of the championship Bethlehem Steel team six years ago. His tallies that season totaled 59. Whalen, the Fall River goal, acted as a substitute to Duncan, of Bethlehem, when this city held the title in 1917.
