What promises to be the best soccer game played in Bethlehem this season will be held Saturday afternoon of this week in an American Soccer League contest.
It will be a real championship tilt since Fall River now leads the circuit and Bethlehem is a close second only one point behind.
These two leading contenders for the American League title met in a bitter struggle at Fall River on December 10 and fought to a scoreless draw.
Included among the roster of Fall River players are a number of ex-Bethlehem Steel artists, including Brittan, Pepper, Miller, Lorimer, Collier and Whalen. Millar still holds the goal scoring record for this country, made by him while a member of the championship Bethlehem Steel team six years ago. His tallies that season totaled 59. Whalen, the Fall River goal, acted as a substitute to Duncan, of Bethlehem, when this city held the title in 1917.
