Even with the inclusion of six prominent players of the Bethlehem Steel soccer team, the Pennsylvania soccer team, the Pennsylvania representatives proved no match for the New York contingent in the annual exhibition games staged at Harrison, N. J., yesterday afternoon. The two delegations represented both districts of the National League.
The Jersey soccerites captured the honors before a large crowd of spectators by the score of 5 goals to 1. The lone tally registered by the Pennsylvanians was counted by Bethune. The end of the first half left little doubt as to the outcome, for the Jersey men were leading by 3 goals to 0 as the result of telling shots by Campbell and Archie Stark. Campbell put through two of the goals. In the second half the Jersey men added two more while the best the Pennsylvanians could do was the lone goal counted by Bethune. The lineup:
