Although well in advance of his closest contenders as the leading scorer of the second half season of the Eastern Soccer League, Archie Stark, premier center forward in the country, will strive to boost his total to an absolute safe margin when the New York Giants invade the home lair for a league game against Bethlehem on Saturday.
Stark, to whom the leading scoring honors for the season is no new experience, has amassed the high total of fifteen goals and is pressed for the honors by Wortmann and Eisenhoffer, Hakoah stars, who are trailing in the wake with 12 and 11 goals respectively.
While Bethlehem tops the Giants insofar as individual scoring is concerned, nevertheless, the New Yorkers have a better team average with a total of 37 goals in 11 games against 33 for Bethlehem in 12 games. The defensive merit reflected by the goals scored against gives Bethlehem a big edge over all other clubs and particularly the Giants, having the low total of 17 scored against while the Giants have been scored on 27 times.
